Tom Boeck is a Founding Principal of Sustainable Options and oversees the company's program management and consulting practice. He has over 20 years of experience in commercial construction and development, having provided both agency and at-risk construction management services to major clients in New York City, Atlanta, the Southeast and nationwide. He has worked with clients such as Merrill Lynch, Morgan Guaranty, BellSouth, AT&T and The Home Depot, and for such renowned firms as CRSS, H. J. Russell & Company, Skanska USA Building Inc., and KDC. Mr. Boeck was one of the first Vice Presidents of Sustainable Development in the country when he held that position with KDC. Mr. Boeck served as a member of the USGBC's Portfolio Committee, which developed criteria for portfolio planning and standards for implementation of "green" practices across multiple-building portfolios.

Boeck has been a featured speaker, panelist, and participant for numerous national and regional conferences,including The Georgia Environmental Conference, Bisnow, RealShare Atlanta and DC, IFMA, GreenPrints Conference and Urban Land Institute (ULI). He has helped educate hundreds of commercial brokers via presentations such as Green Buildings 101 and The Value of Green.

Professional affiliations & recognition

As a LEED Accredited Professional, Boeck also is the co-creator and implementation leader for the LEED for Existing Buildings Feasibility Study and LEED for Core & Shell Assessment consulting engagements. He has served on the USGBC's Portfolio Pilot Committee and the Board of Directors for the USGBC's Atlanta Branch. He is also a member of the Advocacy Committee for the USGBC-Georgia. Mr. Boeck holds a real estate salesperson's license in the state of Georgia. Tom is a member of the Green Chamber of the South, USGBC and Southface Energy Institute.
